Registration with UKCHIP
APPLICATIONS FOR REGISTRATION HAVE NOW CLOSED. PLEASE SEE THE ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE HOMEPAGE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.
Holding a register of individuals who meet defined standards of entry, conduct and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), is an essential part of professional regulation.
UKCHIP’s public register contains details of those health informatics specialists who have submitted details about themselves and agreed to work to the UKCHIP Code of Conduct.
Registration may be withdrawn if it is shown that levels of competence have not been maintained, the code of conduct has been contravened, or where allegations or complaints against a registrant are upheld by Council.
The registration function will become a function of the Federation for Informatics Professionals in Health and Social Care (Fed-IP). In future, registration will be integrated with membership of a professional body (or bodies) relevant to the individual health informatics professional. The processes by which this will happen are expected to be implemented in 2017.
