UKCHIP Public Registers
The Public Registers are provided by UKCHIP, the voluntary regulatory body with a responsibility to protect patients and the general public, to allow anyone to check whether an individual Health Informatics professional has agreed to abide by the Code of Conduct and been assessed successfully as competent against our standards.
You can click on any of the buttons below to visit the registers.
The UKCHIP Public Register was closed to new applicants and for the renewal of existing registrants from 31st December 2016.
However, an individual’s assessment and registration remains valid for 12 months and the Register will continue to be available here for at least a year, containing the details of all accredited Health Informatics professionals at the closure date. The register will still be open to enquiry, for example by existing or potential employers, but over the subsequent 12 months the numbers of current registrants will reduce as individual registration terms expire. Any future registration function will be incorporated in Fed-IP.
The Student and Affiliate Registers contain details of individuals who are just commencing a career in Health Informatics, whether as a student, a trainee or just moving into Health Informatics, and have not yet gained the requisite experience for full registration. They will either be working in or aspiring to work in Health Informatics or studying a relevant qualification.
