Biography:   Alan worked in the NHS for approximately 20 years and has occupied positions in Trusts, PCT's and the Department of Health.  He was recently employed as an Information Governance Manager with additional strategic responsibility for Health Records.  He now works for Tribal Consulting as a Managing Consultant.

Alan is working toward his MSc in Health Informatics at UCLan.  He is a devotee of education and has through his career persuaded and encouraged those who work with him and around him to see education as a life long process.  This philosophy which he holds was reinforced many years ago by one of his past managers who was an senior education manager for Wigan Council.
