Biography: Educated in Scotland, Louise studied at Edinburgh University gaining a medical degree in 1986 (MBChB). She studied information technology at Sheffield to achieve a Masters degree and spent next 15 years in various IT positions with blue chip companies including BT and central government. Louise set up own Consulting Business over 5 years ago and has worked in Health Informatics for over 3 years, being involved in research into Health Inequalities at London South Bank University and on-line delivery of GP appointments and prescriptions. She was recently working with NHS CFH as UK Project Manager of a scheme to improve Health Informatics training and is currently working with Nottinghamshire County PCT with a remit to provide them with an IT strategy for the next 3 years. She is retained as an Associate Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam specialising in teaching post-graduate students.
