Biography:   

Mik trained initially as a healthcare manager and followed this career path mainly in acute hospitals, but with some experience in Mental Health and Community Services.  He changed course after 10 years into the emerging specialism of Information Management and managed Information and IT functions at hospitals and health authorities for a further 10 years, obtaining Chartered IT Professional status. 

Leaving the NHS at Director level, he moved into management consultancy and for 9 years worked with suppliers and NHS organizations at all levels on strategy and project management of Health Informatics, ICT, Information Governance, etc.   He moved back into the NHS for two years as IM&T lead for a Primary Care Trust and returned to consultancy in October 2006.
